Your safety matters - Your stories matter - You matter
Salt City Slam is held on the last Monday of every month. Poetry slam has specific (and varying) rules that make it a competition. We offer the winner of the slam a portion of the door money and sometimes a silly trophy or a free dessert from our home venue, The Beehive.

While slam competitions are a significant portion of our identity and history, we offer many ways to be involved and share your work without the rules and structure of the competition.​
Join us:

Every Saturday 12-2 pm for Poet's Brunch - a casual social time where you can share work, make friends, and have some delicious waffles all in one. At our home venue The Beehive.

Every Sunday 7-10 pm for a mixed talent open mic, crepes, and coffee at Greenhouse Effect.

Last Monday of the month 7:40pm open mic before every slam competition. At our home venue The Beehive.

Last Monday of the month 7:30pm draw for the Order of Poets Competing. At our home venue The Beehive.
